我的博士研究是很久以前在格拉斯哥大学完成的。主题是感染渔场鳟鱼的寄生虫的生命周期。

我在詹姆斯·库克大学工作了两个街区。第一次发生在20世纪70年代末，第二次发生在1989年。在此期间，我在昆士兰大学(当时的寄生虫系)做博士后，在新西兰坎特伯雷大学(University of Canterbury)做动物学讲师。
